The name “sisu” comes from the Finnish word SISU, meaning grit, courage, and will.

Our brand GÖKOTTA creates everyday items—handkerchiefs, chopsticks, stoles, and more—featuring artwork by artists with disabilities, produced with Japanese workshops. Pieces meant to be used and kept.
